PDS and PDP detectors are designed for the early detection of explosions in industrial processes and are an integral part of the Flash explosion suppression system. They are used to trigger suppression and isolation actions in dust explosion protection applications. These detectors are commonly installed in process vessels, silos, filters, cyclones, conveyors, and ducting, where rapid pressure rise detection is essential to prevent explosion escalation and propagation.

The Detector PDP consists of an Explosion Detection Module (EDM) and a Pressure Detection Sensor Head (PDP-SH).

The PDP has 3 measurement capabilities:

1. Static pressure measurement
2. Dynamic pressure measurement
3. Optical measurement
